Local ministry background:
Katerina comes from a non-believing family. She surrendered her life to Jesus while studying at college, where she met a group of young active Christians. From the very beginning of her faith journey, she was actively involved in ministry to the younger generation (leading the Bible club at the college, being on the youth leadership team, organizing summer camps and various missionary and evangelistic campaigns).

Since the beginning of 2023, Katerina has been working as a HY Worker. She is mainly involved in a set of programs under the title “Respect for Life” (especially programs from the J. A. Comenius and Spiritual Heritage series). Following her experience in the school environment and based on demand, she has expanded her field of activity to include very up-to-date topics such as programs aimed at dealing with bullying and aggression. At present, she is most involved with schoolchildren in the first level of primary school.

She desires to bring hope to children, words that transform the attitudes of people’s hearts. Through her programs, she wants to establish closer relationships with children and help them discover what really matters in life.

Katerina is also involved in running a leisure club for primary school children and is involved in the preparation and running of suburban camps.

How she became a HY Worker:
About why she became the HY Worker Katerina writes:
“As a teacher I have worked with children all my life and I have always cared about what children live and what shapes them. I was drawn to God’s Word and longed to be part of God’s mission to bring words of reflection to children in schools to transform values, attitudes and character – to impart to children God’s values that can transform the heart of man. That is why I entered the HY ministry.”
